    Watertown Homes

Historic Watertown is comprised of people who celebrate Watertown's history and encourage growth and economic development. The community is dedicated to collecting and preserving the material culture and genealogy that illustrates the story of the city and people. It is a non-profit 501(c), incorporated in January 1991. Its mission is to preserve and rehabilitate the rich architectural heritage of the City of Watertown and to provide opportunities to revitalize the economic foundation of our historic district. Since 1991, in cooperative efforts with the City of Watertown and the Watertown-East Wilson County Chamber of Commerce, it has made great progress. Past major projects include having the Watertown Square placed on the National Register of Historic Places, commencing work on a Railroad Park, establishing a railroad siding and restoring Town Square with sidewalks and lights.

The median home value for this area is approximately $148,752, located directly east of Nashville off of I-40. It is nearly 20-25 minutes away from the center of downtown, and the primary flagship streets are Commerce Road, Linwood Road, Sparta Pike, Statesville Road and Trammel Lane. The only public school district options are Watertown Elementary School and Watertown High School; there are no middle establishments. Locals delight in the Watertown Excursion Train, Jewell's Market, Railroad Park, Watertown Music & Arts Festival, mile-long yard sales, many excursion train events in connection with the Tennessee Central Railroad Museum (i.e. Valentine Murder Mystery, Polar Express Trains), Roxy Movie Theater, and a traditional farmer's market.
